COMMUNITY PLAN UPDATE AD HOC COMMITTEE MEETING

PUBLIC INPUT AT NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETINGS – Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board’s jurisdiction will be heard during the General Public Comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 1 minute per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board.

Approval of minutes from from August 28, 2023 meeting.

2.

Reports, announcements from City, County and Government officials.

3.

Accept the resignation of Community Committee member Kimberly Fox.

Kimberly has served the Committee and our Community with diligence, commitment and a very high level of expertise.  We are grateful for her extraordinary body of work.

The Chair of the Committee may call on Community members with expertise to join Committee meetings when their expertise will benefit the Committee and Community. We look forward to Kimberly joining us at future meetings.

Motion to accept the resignation of Kimberly Fox to the Community Plan Update Ad Hoc Committee.

4.

The Committee has the opportunity to have a table at no cost to the Neighborhood Council at the Westchester Farmers market in the Westchester triangle on Sundays.

To further our goal of raising awareness and advancing Community engagement, the Committee requests the Board support this effort.

The Committee also requests $1,500 be allocated for printing of fliers/postcards to be distributed at upcoming Farmers Markets and any other method/locations the Board deems appropriate.

Motion: Recommend that the Board support the Committees outreach efforts to attend the Westchester Farmers Market and to allocate $1,500 for printing fliers/postcards to be distributed at the Farmers Markets and any other method/location the Board deems appropriate.

Continue the work of preparing a recommendation to the Board for the Community Plan update.
