PUBLIC INPUT AT NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETINGS – The public is requested to dial *9, when prompted by the presiding officer, to address the Board on any agenda item before the Board takes an action on an item. Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board’s jurisdiction will be heard during the General Public Comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 1 minutes per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board.

- Approval of Minutes of April 29, 2021 Special and May Board meetings
- Receive and file the Treasurer’s Report and MER
- Motion to appoint Naomi Waka to the Senior Citizens Director Seat and to Chair of Community Services Committee.
- Motion to accept the resignation of Zach Siglow, Residential 3 Director Seat and the Education Committee.
- Motion to appoint Alexandra Reynolds to the Residential 3 Director Seat and to the Government Affairs Committee. Zach made the suggestion to appoint Alexandra who grew up in this very neighborhood.
Motion to appoint Trent Revic to the 90094 Business Director Seat and to the Budget and Finance Committee.- Motion to approve authorize the expenditure of $1,200 to be paid to the LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce for Star of the Neighborhood entry in the 2021 Fourth of July Parade.
Motion to approve The Education Committee recommends the Neighborhood Council express a land acknowledgment before the Pledge of Allegiance during our monthly meetings. The Land Acknowledgment recommended is as follows: “The Neighborhood Council of Westchester / Playa acknowledges the Tongva/Gabrieleno/Acjachemen peoples as the traditional land caretakers of the Los Angeles basin and Southern Channel Islands.”- Motion to approve 6261 W. 87th St. Westchester
- Motion to approve with conditions Buffalo Wild Wings/ 6801 Center Dr. Westchester ( The Howard Hughes Center) ZA-2020-1396-MCUP/ENV-2020-1397-CE

- Certification of the Airfield & Terminal Modernization Project EIR. I have attached a letter with attached Mitigation Measures for review regarding the Airfield & Terminal Modernization Project EIR. We will allow time for both Public comment and Board Member discussions. This is coming straight to the Board for discussion with permission from Dave Mannix’s, Chair, Airport Relations Committee.

- Jose Morataya, Battalion 4 Coordinator, Patrick Botz-Forbes, Central Bureau Coordinator, and Chin Thammasaegsri, South Bureau Coordinator will join us to share about the CERT program, and what can be done with The Neighborhood Team Program which is going strong in other parts of the city.
