PUBLIC INPUT AT NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETINGS – Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board’s jurisdiction will be heard during the General Public Comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 1 minute per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board.

Receive, approve and file the March 2024 Treasurer’s report and MER.

Motion to approve that the Budget & Finance Committee meetings are  “as needed” and not a standing monthly meeting as this committee does not always have business to conduct every single month (and start time may vary depending on agenda).

Discuss and possible motion to approve the NPG application from LA Parks Foundation in an amount not to exceed $1,250.00 to go towards the cost of 4 park benches around the senior center at the Westchester Recreation Center/park.

Review, discuss and possible motion to approve the NPG application from Parents, Teachers and Educators (PESA) Intern program, that provides economic development opportunities to youth by providing strength based assessment that identifies the careers their strengths are best suited for. PESA provides educational and career assistance and when needed, mental health support to get them on the career path they want to pursue. They have requested an amount of $5,000.00 to go towards staff and contractors to run some of the workshops (see additional detail on PESA in attached email documentation). The funds are for these services done solely in connection for the workshops for Westchester/Playa Del Rey youthful residents.
