PUBLIC INPUT AT NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETINGS – The public is requested to dial *9, when prompted by the presiding officer, to address the Board on any agenda item before the Board takes an action on an item. Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board’s jurisdiction will be heard during the General Public Comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 1 minute per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board.
AB 361 Updates: Public comment cannot be required to be submitted in advance of the meeting, only real-time public comment is required. If there are any broadcasting interruptions that prevent the public from observing or hearing the meeting, the meeting must be recessed or adjourned. If members of the public are unable to provide public comment or be heard due to issues within the Neighborhood Council’s control, the meeting must be recessed or adjourned.

    2. Motion to receive, file and approve the NCWP Monthly Expenditure Report (MER) for the month of March 2022.
    3. Motion to receive, file and approve the NCWP Monthly Expenditure Report (MER) for the month of April 2022.
    4. Motion to receive, file and approve the NCWP Monthly Treasurer’s Report for the month of May 2022.
    5. Motion to approve NCWP Admin Packet with the FY 2022-2023 budget.
    6. Motion to approve Moore Business Results invoice previously approved in FY 2021-2022 for website and NCWP communications in the month of April 2021 $589.25 that missed year end closing deadline.
    7. Motion to approve Hometown News invoice for May 2022 in the amount of $1750 that missed year end closing deadline.  This amount covers a 2 page promotion of the NC board and does not represent an overall exceedance of the annualized budget for outreach via local news outlets.
    8. Motion to approve scope of work for website and NCWP communications provided by Moore Business Results for FY 2022-23 with expenditure not to exceed $600 monthly.
    9. Motion to approve emailing service for NCWP agenda distribution provided by Mailchimp for FY 2022-23 with expenditure not to exceed $36 monthly.
    10. Motion to approve monthly NCWP newsletter provided by Hometown News for FY 2022-23 with expenditure not to exceed $875 monthly.
    11. Motion to support the request from Stanley’s located at 8737-8741 La Tijera Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045 for a Conditional Use Permit to allow the sale and dispensing and on site consumption of a full line of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with a proposed 2,501 sq. ft. restaurant with 41 interior seats and a 394 sq. ft. outdoor patio with 16 exterior seats with a modification that operating hours be: Monday –Wednesday 9:00AM-10:00PM, Thursday-Sunday 9:00AM-11:45PM.
    12. Motion to support approval of the applicants project to remodel and the addition to existing single family dwelling including 1103.14 sq. ft. first floor addition and new 893.56 sq. ft. second story at 403 E. Manchester Avenue, Playa del Rey, CA 90293.
    13. Motion to approve Election Information Worksheet where the NCWP has identified their preferred polling location, hours, translation needs, and election / outreach chair for our upcoming 2023 election.
    14. Motion to approve letter in opposition to renewing or adding any Safe Parking permits in or around Westchester Park, Westchester Pool, Westchester Ballfield Parking Lot, Westchester Senior Center, Westchester Library and Westchester Municipal Building and shared parking lot with the Library and Senior Center.
    15. Motion to strongly support Council File 20-1376-S3 (Buscaino) for an ordinance amending LAMC Sections 41.18 and 56.01 to prohibit sitting, lying, sleeping, and storing personal property in or upon any street, sidewalk or other public-right-of-way within 500 ft. of a library.
