April 4, 2026: This week was the ribbon cutting on the Hyperion Advanced Water Purification Facility – a major step toward securing our region’s water future. This project will allow Los Angeles to recycle more water locally, reduce our dependence on imported sources, and improve water quality in the Santa Monica Bay by reducing discharge. It’s a critical investment in protecting marine life and our sensitive coastal ecosystem, while building long-term resilience for our communities.
