transportation map

The City of Los Angeles is developing its first Mobility Action Plan (MAP), which will guide how LA invests in streets, sidewalks, transit, biking, and walking. The MAP will produce two transportation investment plans to help the City prioritize projects and coordinate resources: a five-year plan with funded projects to begin in 2028, and a 20-year plan that will identify long-range capital needs.  Participate in the survey here.

The MAP will deliver:

  • A five-year short range transportation plan (2028–2032) and, and
  • A 20-year investment strategy (2033–2052) to guide long-term priorities.

Together, these plans will serve as the transportation component of the Citywide Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), as directed under Executive Directive 9.

The initial phase of citywide engagement will take place in person and virtually this winter, featuring a citywide survey open through January 15. After this first phase of engagement, LADOT will use community feedback to shape the draft Mobility Action Plan, which will outline near- and long-term transportation investment priorities. A second phase of engagement will then invite Angelenos to review and respond to the draft before the plan is finalized and presented to council.
