This election cycle, Los Angeles County has launched a new voting system. Voters will now have between three and ten days before election day to cast their ballots. Additionally, voters will be able to pre-select their choices for each office through an interactive sample ballot, which will produce a unique QR code that can be scanned by the new voting machines. Most notably, voters will no longer be required to vote at a specific polling location, and instead will be allowed to vote at any of the 1,000 voting centers throughout the county.
