PUBLIC INPUT AT NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETINGS – The public is requested to dial *9, when prompted by the presiding officer, to address the Board on any agenda item before the Board takes an action on an item. Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board’s jurisdiction will be heard during the General Public Comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 1 minute per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board.
AB 361 Updates: Public comment cannot be required to be submitted in advance of the meeting, only real-time public comment is required. If there are any broadcasting interruptions that prevent the public from observing or hearing the meeting, the meeting must be recessed or adjourned. If members of the public are unable to provide public comment or be heard due to issues within the Neighborhood Council’s control, the meeting must be recessed or adjourned.

- Motion to receive, file and approve the NCWP Monthly Expenditure Report (MER) for the month of March 2022.
- Motion to receive, file and approve the NCWP Monthly Treasurer’s report for the month of April 2022.
- Motion to support WRAC requests from Department of City Planning the Dwelling Unit Capacity calculations for all WRAC community plans in process (Palms-Mar Vista-Del Rey, Venice, Westchester/Playa, West Los Angeles).
- Motion to support WRAC motion requesting the City Council and City Attorney, when drafting and considering the council file item CF 22-0158, take into account the requests by the Westside Regional Alliance of Councils: Consideration list may be found here.
- Motion to support the WRAC motion that the City Bureau of Engineering uses “cool asphalt” for paving with the following recommendations: Recommendation list can be found here.
- Motion to approve sending a letter of support with concerns for the “Interceptor” by The Ocean Cleanup to Los Angeles City Council Mike Bonin and Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor Holly Mitchell.
- Motion to authorize the purchase of Outreach promotional items and up to 31 name-tags, not to exceed $7000.
- Motion to authorize the Outreach expenditure of $1,200 to be paid to the LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce for Star of the Neighborhood entry in the 2022 Fourth of July Parade.
- Motion to approve the Dinahs Project including our lists of Modifications and Community Concerns as part of the project approval. Project Planning Documents can be found at:
- Motion to support the approval of the Bright Horizons request for a new illuminating exterior wall sign on an existing building where a pre school exists.
- Motion to approve the neighborhood purpose grant (NPG) application from the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust to support the opening of the Open Magnet Charter School Grounds on weekends to provide local residents with access to open space in the park-poor neighborhoods of Osage / Westport Heights not to exceed $5,000.

The Board will then have an opportunity for a discussion to include, but not limited to RV and parking moratorium ending, the concerns of stakeholders and prioritizing locations for outreach, clean up, enforcement and the agencies and jurisdiction involved in our footprint.
