Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 1 minute per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board.

    1. Approval of Minutes of February 2025 Board meeting
    2. Receive and file the Treasurer’s Report and MER for January 2025
    3. Motion to approve the transmission of a letter to Mayor Bass, Councilwoman Traci Park, Director of Planning Vincent Bertoni request1ng they provide the NCWP with the number of new housing units required for our area.
    4. Motion to approve a letter be sent to CD11 and Planning requesting that they give adequate weight to the work of the Committee and Neighborhood Council as this is the best representation of the Stakeholders sentiments.
    5. Motion to approve Howe Mart, located at 8501 Pershing Dr, Playa Del Rey, CA 90293, an existing market that currently sells beer and wine (Type 20) and is seeking to upgrade to a full line of alcoholic beverages (Type 21). There is no existing Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for the site, as the use was grandfathered in, but the site has been operating with alcohol sales for several decades. The request is for a CUP to allow the proposed upgrade in license type, permitting the off-site sale of a full line of alcoholic beverages. The proposed hours of operation and alcohol sales are from 6 am to 12 am, daily.
    6. Motion to approve $1,500 for NCWP participate in the July 4th parade and Star of the Neighborhood and submit requests for Star of the Neighborhood in Hometown News April and May, selection due June 2025.
    7. Motion to approve $500 for NCWP to participate National Night Out in August 2025.
    8. Motion to approve $1,500 for NCWP to participate in WAM in September 2025.
    9. Motion to approve NCWP participate in the Westchester Farmers market two times each fiscal year.
    10. Motion to approve Outreach purchase of NCWP shirts and name tags for all members and outreach volunteers NTE $1,500.

    1. Adam Lane, Waymo’s City Policy and Government Affairs Manager will give an update on Waymo’s expansion into new locations and safety information.
