unlitterLA-Postponed

April 25, 2020 @ 12:00 am

Update: UNLITTERLA IS POSTPONED until later in the year due to recommendations in response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. Although the distributed nature of our event meant that cleanups would be in small groups with no need for close contact to anyone at any time, we had anticipated several locations where more than 50 volunteers might gather for sign-in and route assignments, and the CDC has recommended cancelling any gathering of that size or larger. UNLITTERLA is a valuable effort and statement for our region, but not at the risk of anyone’s health. If you have already signed up, you will hear from us and we will keep you apprised of when UNLITTERLA will be rescheduled. If you have not signed up, you are welcome to sign up (to express your interest) and we will keep in touch. Thank you and please continue to do your part to keep our city safe.

On a single event day, more than a thousand volunteers will turn out to make a noticeable improvement to the greater Los Angeles region. Teams of 6-8 volunteers will each walk a 2-4 mile route, picking up litter from sidewalks, gutters, and fences.
