PUBLIC INPUT AT NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETINGS – Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board’s jurisdiction will be heard during the General Public Comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 1 minute per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board.

Presentation on SB7 by Barry Cassilly: Barry is a Venice resident and a Venice Neighborhood Council Board member with extensive experience in land use and zoning.  What is SB7,  where it is in the state legislature and what are its’ potential impacts.

Dana Styles of three6ixty, applicant representative for the Pep Boys project, will give us an update/progress report on the project.  This is an information only presentation.

5.

Westchester/Playa gets it’s first SB9 project at 8307 Georgetown, Westchester.

SB9 allows a developer to take a single family residence and turn it into an apartments, duplexes, ADU’s and more. In this instance the developer is proposing to demolish an existing single family residence and build a 3 story duplex and 2 two story ADU’S. Concerned neighbors will present us with what they know about the project and where it is in the planning process.
