Activity:
To install LADWP underground utilities, the RS-X Project will reduce a portion of eastbound Westchester Parkway to one through lane just east of Pershing Drive starting Monday, Aug. 9, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The closure will include one eastbound lane, the bicycle lane and sidewalk. Eastbound bicycles will share the travel lanes only in the construction area, as the bike lane at this location will be closed, and all pedestrians will use the sidewalk on the north side of Westchester Parkway. All travel lanes, bike lanes and sidewalks will be restored each afternoon. Signage will be posted to advise motorists to slow down and share the road with bicycles. Westbound Westchester Parkway will not be impacted by this work.
