This Saturday, Councilman Mike Bonin is hosting a telephone Town Hall event about the COVID-19 crisis to answer your questions. He will have a panel with medical professionals, the head of the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles, and a representative from Mayor Garcetti’s office to help answer questions about the disease, the crisis, and the city’s response.
The town hall will be held via teleconference on Saturday at 11:30 am. If you are interested in participating, you can RSVP at http://bit.ly/MBTH-0418 to receive an automated phone call that will patch you into the main call.
This initial town hall will focus on medical questions and the Safer at Home order, and subsequent events will focus more specifically on resources and information for renters, seniors, and parents at home with small children.
Panelists for this Saturday’s initial town hall will include:
- Dr. Jan King, MD MPH: Dr. King is the Area Health Officer representing Los Angeles County Department of Public Health on the Westside of Los Angeles;
- Greg Good: Chief of Legislative & External Affairs for Mayor Eric Garcetti.
- Louise McCarthy, MPP: Louise is the President and CEO of the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC), where she represents the interests of LA area Community Clinics and Health Centers, and those they serve;
- Dan Ruderman, Ph.D.: Dr. Ruderman is an Assistant Professor of Research Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and the Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine;
