The L.A. County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the Interceptor 007 as a long-term project! Since its launch in October 2022, this innovative trash collection device has captured over 248,000 pounds of debris, including nearly 3,000 pounds of recyclable plastic, keeping our vulnerable bodies of water cleaner and reducing pollution in our oceans. We are so glad it will be a permanent tool in our fight to keep plastic and garbage out of the ocean and off the beach! A big thanks to Supervisor Holly Mitchell and Friends of the Jungle for their work and advocacy to make this happen!
