PUBLIC INPUT AT NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETINGS – Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board’s jurisdiction will be heard during the General Public Comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 1 minute per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board.

The Community Plan Update maps have been released by the City of Los Angeles Planning Department.

Per Article VII, Section 3D of the Neighborhood Council By Laws the Committee Chair has invited Community Members Jolie Delja and Sarah Howard to participate with the Committee for this agenda item. The letter submitted  to CD11 by the Neighborhood Council closely follows the recommendations from their Community group, One Voice Westchester.

The Committee will be discussing any and all aspects of the Community Plan Update and the proposed changes from the City.

The Committee will discuss the various Overlay Maps/Zones including the Housing Initiative ordinance to determine what impact they may have on the Community Plan Update and stakeholders in general.

The Chair is working with CD11 and Planning to attend a meeting where they will be able to explain the above and answer any questions the Committee may have.
