The Ballona Creek Interceptor 007 received a warm welcome October 22, 2022 as part of the County’s broader efforts to protect our waterways. This was the launch of a two-year pilot program with Los Angeles County Public Works, The Ocean Cleanup, and our community partners that have been essential in making this pilot project a reality and advocating for our waterways to be clean and accessible to all.
NCWP held several meetings about the Interceptor and is excited to see it launched here to reduce the amount of trash headed to the ocean.
