Mission: The Senior Services Committee shall serve as the catalyst for non-profit organizations providing services for the senior community to work together in providing programs and activities that encompass services to encourage seniors to be active and maintain their quality of life as long as possible.
Goal: For all the organizations in the Westchester, Playa del Rey and Playa Vista who provide services to the senior community to meet regularly to discuss their mission, coordinate programs and develop new programs that are needed and will enhance the senior community. Possible issues to be considered are seniors tutoring students, reverse mortgages, long term care, senior abuse and senior driving issues, senior housing, social activities, psychological issues, and health concerns. The Senior Services Committee - Connecting Elders and Their Families with Local Resources The committee meets monthly to discuss and implement ways to better educate the community and families about available senior services, outreach, and integration with a variety of programs that will enhance the lives of Seniors in our community.

Affordable Living for the Aging - Contact Miriam at 213-261-3862. ALA matches individuals who have extra space in their homes with people who need housing. Share your home with a pre-screened ALA roommate and earn extra income, receive assistance with household chores, and enjoy a sense of security.
Always Best Care Senior Services, Beach Cities - Located at 2409 N. Supulveda Blvd. Suite 302, Manhattan Beach,, CA 90266. Contact Loli Ramezani at 310-546-3400 or email: Beachcities@ABC-seniors.com. Always Best Care provides in-home care for senior clients at their home in order to assist them with their daily activities so they can stay home longer. However, if staying at home is not an option due to safety, health, or financial reason, through their free service they can help find the most appropriate Independent/Assisted Living Community or Board and Care. Westside Pacific Village - Contact Carol Kitabayashi at 310-695-7030. WPV provides assistance with chores and errands, friendly visits, minor home repairs, and transportation services through the use of pre-screened volunteers.
Airport Marina Counseling Service - Contact Eden Garcia Balis at 310-670-1410. AMCS provides affordable community based mental health services to individual, couples, families, and seniors at low cost.
Culver Palms Meals on Wheels - Contact Pam Frieden at 310-559-0666. Since 1974 Culver Palms Meals on Wheels has been serving nutritious meals to homebound living between Pico Blvd. and LAX and from LaCienega to the coast.
