PUBLIC INPUT AT NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MEETINGS - The public is requested to dial *9, when prompted by the presiding officer, to address the Board on any agenda item before the Board takes an action on an item. Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board?s jurisdiction will be heard during the General Public Comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the General Public Comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board meeting. Public comment is limited to 2 minutes per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board.
Call to order and Introductions
The neighborhood council approved a $5,000 budget for Outreach events in this fiscal year. Discuss options for holding events and estimate how much of our budget we will likely spend through June 2021.
The neighborhood council approved nearly $20,000 in the Outreach budget for outreach through the Hometown News and the board's website and related social media. Discuss whether and how we could make more use of Nextdoor, Facebook, Instagram and other platforms to promote the neighborhood council.
The neighborhood council is migrating its website to a more modern platform making it easier to use on mobile devices, keep current and easier for our stakeholders to keep aware of what the board is working on and events important to the community. Discuss and possible motion on a recommendation how to source high resolution images of our neighborhood from stakeholders.
