    New Middle School Pathway (NMSP)Westchester/Playa Parents for Better Schools FB question: Is NMSP designated as the residential middle school for Westchester/Playa families? – Principal Kyle Hunsberger will be present to discuss this issue and other NMSP questions.

    Cowan Avenue ElementaryAugust 18, 2017 email from Magnet Coordinator Sarah Ponton to NCWP: As the new Magnet Coordinator at Cowan Avenue Elementary, want to introduce myself and connect Cowan to the outside community.

    Loyola Village Elementary SchoolAugust 16, 2017 email from Westchester W. 87th Street resident to LAUSD (Ms. Shannon Haber, Dr. Krishna Smith) and NCWP: After two years of picking up litter from Westside of Loyola Village Elementary, speeding cars, and disobeyed traffic signs, how to improve interior and exterior facilities?

    At the May 24, 2017 NCWP Education Committee Meeting, a discussion was held about the LAUSD Facilities in Westchester/Playa. Subsequently, LAUSD Chief Facilities Executive Mark Hovatter’s office was contacted. The Education Committee is charged with developing a list of questions for Mr. Hovatter to respond to, including potentially planning to host a Westchester/Playa LAUSD Facilities Forum.

    The Committee will discuss whether the NCWP should send letters of welcome to the new school principals in Westchester/Playa. For example, on the Westchester High School campus alone, New Middle School Pathway (Mr. Kyle Hunsberger), WISH Academy High School (Ms. Kellie Mowll), and Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets High School (Dr. Janet Mack) each have new principals
