DESCRIPTION:Join us for the next NCWP Meeting on Tuesday\, April 1\, 6:30pm at the Westchester Municipal Building\, 7144 Manchester. \nOn our agenda: \nThe Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) as part of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the proposed Scattergood Generating Station Units 1 and 2 Green Hydrogen-Ready Modernization Project. They will be on hand to answer questions. \n\nThe period for submitting comments has been extended\, LADWP will accept public comments during the dates listed from October 31\, 2024 to April 7\, 2025.  Comments: Scattergood_CEQA@ladwp.com.  The proposed project is located at 12700 Vista Del Mar in Playa Del Rey and would replace the existing generation with green hydrogen-ready units. This hydrogen-ready capability would allow LADWP to begin the conversion from natural gas to renewably-derived green hydrogen at this plant.
